Dean is the founder and president of Axis Companies. He began his career in 1989 working for the engineering consulting firm Bergmann Associates in the transportation and site development group. Within four years Dean was ready for a bigger challenge and joined start-up engineering firm, FRA Engineering.
Dean led the transportation design group where he prepared traffic studies, development plans, and roadway plans for McDonald’s, Rite Aid, CVS, Home Depot, Lowes, Walmart and several large shopping center developers around the country. In addition, he worked on single-family and multi-family residential complexes, office parks, and institutional and manufacturing facilities.
In 2003, Dean was made a partner and moved to Georgia, where he opened an office to expand FRA’s service offerings throughout the southeast. In 2007, FRA was acquired by T.Y. Lin International, a consulting firm with 32 offices in the United States and 12 offices in China and Southeast Asia. As Director for Facilities, Dean was responsible for all vertical planning, design and construction-related services throughout the Americas, China and Southeast Asia.
Dean founded Axis Companies in 2016 and has once again found success in the construction development and management industry.
