Axis serves the Gwinnett County Department of Transportation (GCDOT) under an on-call contract. On this contract, Axis executes issued task orders.

Axis Infrastructure has been issued a task order under a current on-call contract to investigate and design an intersection improvement at the intersection of Sunny Hill Road and Braselton Highway (SR 124). Due to the recent improvements at the I-85 interchange at Gravel Springs Road, traffic patterns have changed. This has led to more turning movements at this intersection. Axis investigated the new traffic patterns at this intersection and other adjacent intersections to determine ways to alleviate congestion. Since there is an adjacent property currently listed for sale at the northeast corner of the intersection, the County was interested in exploring potential roundabout designs. On this project performance of an Intersection Control Evaluation (ICE) is necessary per Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) policy.
